MEDICAL DIRECTOR: Brian Crawford, M.D.

--- Objectives ---

  1. We will work with county and state emergency response to formally integrate the MRCEPC into their plans so that MRCEPC volunteers may mobilize and serve in a safe, organized and effective manner.
  2. We will determine how MRCEPC will be integrated into hospital and emergency response agency response plans so that personnel and medical staff may be utilized for surge capacity at alternate facilities.
  3. We will develop agreement that outlines how MRCEPC volunteers can supplement the work of the county health departments.
  4. Invite healthcare professionals to join MRCEPC such as:
    • physicians
    • dentists
    • nurses
    • pharmacists
    • mental health professionals
    • veterinarians
  5. Develop a one-page document to provide to various healthcare professionals outlining their liabilities and their protections while serving in the MRCEPC unit.
  6. Conduct surveys of volunteers to ascertain and encourage interest level, ability to respond, and level of competency.
